10% discount offered on all our 2026 prices (2 person rates) for bookings made either 60 + days in advance or less than 14 days in advance -
Our rental prices include:
- All electricity and solid fuel, for heating, cooking and hot water
- Bedroom, kitchen linen and personal towels
- Laundry and cleaning on departure
- Unlimited data Wi-Fi broadband
Our basic weekly rental tariff is for 2 people. There are supplements for extra people, and for a pet dog, as detailed in the Notes below the rental tariff.

Our normal letting pattern is from Saturday to Saturday all year round. Our prices are for the cottage per week for two people. For each additional person please add £8 per night, per person, up to the house capacity of five people plus a baby. For a pet dog, please add £30 per week. We accept one dog only.
Discounts are available for bookings of 2 or more weeks (other than at peak holiday times). Please ask us for details.

Payment Options
The following payment options are available for UK residents wishing to pay in £ sterling, and anyone resident outside the Eurozone:
If you are resident in a Eurozone country and wish to pay in Euros, we are happy to accept payment in Euros, either by cheque or by CHAP bank payment. Sterling rent figures will be converted to Euros and fixed at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of booking.
We are unable to accept direct payment to us by debit or credit card, but if you would prefer to pay this way, for security reasons, extra protection and peace of mind, you could do so by booking your stay in our cottage through "VRBO", with whom we advertise Corner Cottage commercially. You should note, however, that the company charges a fee for card payments, usually in the order of 7% of the total rental. If you wish to choose this method of payment, we will be happy to advise you further at the time of your booking.
How to Book
Please note that Corner house is available for a minimum of 7 nights from the beginning of May to the end of September. Changeover day is Saturday, arriving after 4pm and leaving before 10am. Outside these months, shorter stays may be possible. Please ask us for details.
At any stage, you are most welcome to contact us by phone, letter or e-mail for further information or advice.- If you would like to reserve Corner House, booking is easy and direct.
- To make a provisional reservation having checked the Availability chart, please contact us either by telephone or by e-mail using the Booking Request form on the 'Enquiries' page. Your enquiry will be dealt with promptly.
- To process your booking, we ask for completion of a booking form. We will send you the form, normally by email. We also require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost to secure a booking. To give you time to send us your booking form and deposit, your provisional reservation will be held for 5 days.
- Once your booking form and deposit have arrived we will acknowledge receipt immediately, either by email or by letter, with formal confirmation of your booking.
- The remaining 75% balance of your rent should reach us no later than 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday. This payment will be acknowledged immediately when received.
- If the start date of your holiday is less than 8 weeks away, please note that you must pay the full amount of the rental at the time of booking.
- Once you have paid the full amount of the rent due for your stay in Corner House, we will send you the information you need for your journey to Grinton, the timing of your arrival, and the arrangements for your access to the property.
